Welcome to the No 1 Welsh Wing Website
We are a dynamic and dedicated wing of the Royal Air Force Air Cadets, covering South East Wales. It stretches from Caldicot in the East to St Athan in the West, with its northern boundary along the A465 Heads of the Valley Road.
Our wing provides young people with exciting opportunities in aviation, leadership, adventure training, and personal development. Cadets engage in flying, shooting, fieldcraft, and the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, among other activities. The wing also hosts annual camps on active RAF bases, allowing cadets to experience military life firsthand.
With a strong emphasis on teamwork, discipline, and skill-building, we foster a supportive and inspiring environment for cadets to grow and excel.
